Free job-search workshop set to begin week of January 16
Fort Worth, Texas, January 10, 2012 – Job seekers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, take note: A free, 12-week workshop for those in career transition is set to begin at multiple locations throughout the Metroplex, beginning Mon., Jan. 16.
CareerSolutions Workshop is geared for anyone who is unemployed, under-employed or unhappily employed and in search of their next career. More than 6,000 job seekers have been helped by the workshop over the past nine years.
The 12 sessions of the faith-based workshop are offered in continual rotation at several local churches, with Session One set to begin anew on Monday, Jan. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at All Saints’ Episcopal Church at 5001 Crestline Road in Fort Worth. The same content will be repeated that week at all other participating workshop locations.
CareerSolutions Workshop participants may enter the course at any time, but by starting with Session One, they will learn the material in the originally planned sequence. The workshop is free; there is a nominal donation requested for course materials.
The agenda for the first three sessions is as follows:
SESSION ONE (Week of Jan. 16): "Moving Forward"
Getting past the loss of a job, career or dream…the journey ahead.
SESSION TWO (Week of Jan. 23): "Stretching Your Dollars"
Computing length of job search and financial survival alternatives.
SESSION THREE (Week of Jan. 30): " Choose Your Future"
Deciding where you’re going and the alternatives of how to get there.
