  • Lots happening at Diocesan Convention
    The investiture of a new bishop. Celebrating Bishop Ohl's leadership as he retires – again! Telling and preserving our stories. Ordaining a vocational deacon – our first since 2009. Looking ahead to Sunday One, when congregations re-unite. Electing new leaders. Thanking leaders who are passing the torch. Seeing old friends. Making new ones.   • Executive Council retreat will be led by new bishop
    The diocesan Executive Council, joined by the diocesan Standing Committee, will meet for its annual retreat Dec. 7-8 at St. Christopher, Fort Worth. Bishop Rayford High, expected to be elected at convention as third provisional bishop of the diocese, will be the presenter for the weekend. Read more . . .

    Come learn about the "Seven Deadly Sins of Church Communications" through a free (to our congregations) webinar at the diocesan office, Nov. 8 from 1:30 to 2:30pm.   • New Year brings annual meetings, elections, reports
    As the year winds to a close, congregations are preparing for annual meetings in January, along with vestry elections and parochial reports. Be on the look-out for the parochial report forms and a letter listing those end-of-year tasks, which will arrive in December and are due March 1.  Read more . . .
  • Cindy Haddock joins diocesan staff
    In October Cindy Haddock joined the diocesan staff as part-time bookkeeper. She will serve as assistant to the diocesan treasurer, following in the footsteps of Tammie Lively, who has recently moved to Colorado.  Read more . . .
  • Holidays mean change in office hours
    The diocesan office will be closed Monday, Nov. 5, the Monday following diocesan convention. The office will also be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 22 and 23. Regular office hours are Monday-Friday, 10am to 2 pm, with additional hours by appointment. The staff is happy to accommodate pre-arranged office visits outside of regular hours.
  • Need supply for Christmas eve?
    Congregations needing supply clergy for Christmas Eve are invited to contact the diocesan office, 817-534-1900.

    Nov. 10 – Cursillo Day of Deeper Understanding, 9 am

    Dec. 7-8 – Executive Council retreat, St. Christopher Fort Worth – Bishop Rayford High, presenter

    Jan. 25-26 – Executive council and leadership strategic planning, St. Luke in the Meadow Fort Worth – Donald Romanik, president of Episcopal Church Foundation, presenter

    Feb. 23 – Diocesan Altar Guild annual meeting, 9:30 am – 2:30pm, St. Martin in the Fields, Keller – All altar guild members are encouraged to attend

    March 2 – Diocesan Leadership Workshop – time and location TBA

    March 16 – Executive Council, 10am – 2pm St. Mary Hamilton
